Minutes to Midnight
Another dusk has come, just minutes away from getting in to another day.A new dawn where your calenders change and more over a reason for an uprisal of new hopes. Its another year just minutes away and as always this time I feel a bit too much attached to the present year. This year has indeed been a mixed one for me,but infact a more positive one and many things to cheer to.Also I have had many important lessons from various incidents and experiences in life.I hope I will learn atleast this times. While having a introspection of the gone events,I really wonderhow I could overcome some instances that I never hoped to happen. Now I understand, there are things that run beyond our control, even our mind is desined to overcome the most horrible events that we would think we can never face.Life do flip phases in moments and at times you remain mere spectator and at times you prefe to remain so.Another year passing away, earth is getting one more year older,my seconds remaining in this earth being decremented,I am getting matured atleast in age and then again turning out into new world sooner from being in a college atmosphere to corporate culture.Time passes, days run off and still I feel there are things I missed out;but never mind another year in the making, new hopes mushrooming up and people talking about resolutions and again putting myself deep into this new year celebrations eventhough I stil feel so lonely and alone.Lets celebrate the final minutes to midnight of this year and welcome another year with hopes and aspirations.

My final interview
This is one of the interesting and most vibrant of the interview experiences that I have had.The test was on May 14th and since it was the first placement drive at our college,I had to take up the initiative for coordination work and had work till night at college, just the day before the drive. So I didnt even bother about touching the books.Next morning I had to go early and make the necessary arrangements. Now being a volunteer, one can imagine the need to make things in a proper manner. As expected, the test started around 10 am and to my surprise it was an easy paper. So I could do well and could get through the first round. The GD was at around 2pm and I got selected to the interviews.
There were two rounds of interviews, the first one was technical followed by HR.The technical interview started off with simple questions.I was asked my favourite subject and then questions were based on that,I could answer almost all questions and quite against what I expected from a techie interview,I was asked to tell about myself.I was embarrassed a bit,but still managed to answer the question. The interview was over and almost after 15 minutes the results came out.My friend and me were told to be disqualified.Even though initially it came as a shock to me (as I had done the interview well),since I was already placed,it didnt hurt me much. But my friend was extremely disappointed.Later the Caritor guys told that it was a mistake and both of us were selected for the next round. My friend was very jubilant and even was I.I was the final candidate for the interview and since I had an experience of 5 earlier interviews,I was calm and composed.
The interview started off well and I was asked a question if I am interested in higher studies,I said not at present and he asked me why.I answered for it and then I was asked a number of questions on this.He started to put on some other topics and when I answer for something, just started to fire a volley of questions, infact it seemed more like a torture.I was feeling a bit of depressed and all the time I had to say sorry for I couldnt argue with him. Finally after 20 minutes of torture he said "Ok I am done with you,you can leave".By then I was sure I would not be selected.I just cant explain the feeling that I was going through then.
Nearly after two hours, the results were published and I was more elated than anyone to hear my name announced. My interviewer was sitting in the dias and he just smiled at me.This was my first stress interview and I knew only then how stressful it can be.So my suggestion for you friends; Keep your cool and remain calm;you will feel tortured or harassed but remember the interviewer is just testing your temperament and ability to handle pressure.Just calm your nerves for possibly some minutes and then you are through. All the best.

Being in Bond
To be loved is a great virtue and even when someone is losing his/her life, the feeling that you are really loved and cared and is what you had really wanted in your life and that makes you smile even at the dying moments.Every time when I come up with such termed down philosophies, what I really feel happy is the experiences that I get in my life as time passes on which really tells me these philosophies are still worth a look.Recently I had to attend a funeral function of my relative who had demised after a long harassment by a fierce disease. Now the term demise is normally associated with a royal death, but I associate that word with this death not because the person belonged to a royal family, but she was rich by love and she had got the love and care from her family that anyone would love to have.
Its quite evident to all that god doesnt give everyone everything, but still those imperfections are the way that establishes human relations and bonds. But now the wide acceptance of belief that money can get you everything has created the misery of disregarding relationships and emotions.Being in bond is more a bondage now rather than being a bliss.I was talking about my relative who had died of a serious but curable disease. Her family belonged to middle class, infact lower middle class and so out of worry that her husband and family couldnt afford the cost of treatment, she didnt care the initial signs of the disease and finally when it was detected,it was a bit too late.Even after spending in a large sum of money ,her life couldnt be saved.Every penny spent for her treatment had a story of hard work and pain to say.But still she couldnt be saved. But what really fascinated me infact surprised me was the commitment that the whole family had shown to save her.It was the love and care that she was given and the prays that werent answered positively and finally some true cries and woes when she had passed away that would really wet any eyes even if you happened to be a stranger.
This is something I really hasnt found in the recent past in this society.Mostly people has a cancerous thought for making more and more money and relations and emotions are just not there. The "fellow feeling" that is the soul of a relationship is never there.Every relationship is made for money and profits and too much professionalism has creeped into our personal lives that we never bother about our relations.I dont say you have to be too passionate but atleast have a heart for people around you because you are not born to make dollars, but to make yourself and others happier with your existence. As an ad goes "There are somethings that money cant buy,for everything else there is ....";the problem is now we have too many things money can buy and for other things, well who wants those.People measure others with the width of their pockets. You are thrown off if you dont have money or power. If you are a child, well none cares,if you are a teenager you wont have any girl friends(you can manage without any),if you are middle aged, you struggle the whole day for a living and if you are old ,you are thrown in to the streets, these is the normal protocol associated with being poor.
But there are moments where money fails, there are moments where your swiping credit cards cannot wipe it off.You can buy lust, but not love and care. You can have diplomatic relationships, but never true at heart. There will many around who says 'I will be there with you always in all troubles and problems' and when you are really in one, mind you those who told you that would never be there for you.Be with the successful and wealthiest and stamp off the downtrodden, this happens to be a formula the whole world follows now,.I am almost completely sure that many of you might not have reached even at this point reading the post, probably after two or three lines ,you would close this off and say crap.Yes this is a crap when you live your life as a king, when you have people around you and when you have everything you want. But in everyone's life however rich you are, life puts you in an introspection period where you think (you are made to) about what you have achieved in your life other than money. If you end up with Nil well then this whole idea no longer remains crap and that very moment, you sob for what you have done and life makes you pay for it.But the problem is it will be too late to rectify and you end up sobbing. So better start having a bit of feeling for your mate, let him/her be your friend rather than your mate.Love those who care for you and care those who needs it from you. This is not something that I am preaching you but this is something that life is teaching me every moment and I feel is worth sharing.Atlast let me rephrase that ad,"There are somethings that money can buy,for everything else you need love and passion".

Another upcoming year termed "new"
Last days of December, just hours to the holy Christmas and its party time for all.Just when the christmas gets over, the whole world gets into the new year fever which is ignited once the December begins.Awaiting new year has become more like a festival rather than an inevitable and unstoppable passage of time which we admire a lot.I feel this is the only time where we waits for time and other times, every one just doesnt have time for anything. For me this just turns out to be another day,the only difference being you get some new movies in the tv channels. Its the same old wine in a new bottle or may be same bottle with changing labels after every 365 days.Everyone talks about resolutions, aims, targets and things like that;but I always wonder,if one really needs a change why to wait till the January 1st and why not any other day.The only good thing I find is the jubiliation that people seem to be in on this particular occasion (Remember the majority would still be fighting to get their only meal of the day),atleast the hopes of the people for a better world is really encouraging. But the sad fact is that this hope is only for that and rest of the days, its the same disregard we show towards the society and world.
For me this is just another day,the difference being I have to look into a new calender and I really hate to term it new because I dont find any novelty in it,all same months with same number of days(exception:leap year). Is there anything new in what I do,Does my outlook change,Am I going to do anything new thats going to be positive for people around me;I admit with shame NOOO.I really wonder how many of those who read this post is going to bring a change atleast a gradual one on the eve of this "new" year. Before you term Me pessimistic and hopEless, let me tell you hopes alone never do a thing even though its a must.
Again other than some inevitable happenings reserved for this year,I find nothing new.I am gonna follow same dress code, eat same food and my thoughts,I dont think thats gonna change in much a bigger way.So this so called new year is going to start with another usual day for me and I hate to give it any other importance other than a bit of hope that I would improve from this day on(I do that everyday but as always..).I am against these all kind of pomp and show, and night out parties on new year days. Its just nothing other than a showoff, infact another excuse the wealthy heads find to burn out their money. Not even a poor man celebrates a new year,as always he hopes for his daily bread thats more to him and I have to say I proudly stand with them, with the class of people who are still away from status games and hypocrytic show offs.I agree I have not done anything for them, but atleast I dont want ANOTHER UPCOMING YEAR TERMED "NEW" to be celebrated with pomp and show and parties.
But again since I being a part of the vicious circle of social fabric, wish you all a happy new year and please take resolutions only if you can do,atleast if you feel you will try.I hope ATLEASTTTTTTTTTTT 2008 will make a difference for whom it will really be a DIFFERENCE and who needs it.

The Final December
You would again sense a feeling of too much intimacy or a kind of inhibition to be away from the present atmosphere, from this post that I exhibit in my writings.Being an extremely emotional and sensitive person, there are feelings that I hate to curb and my nostalgic thoughts happen to be one among them.As I am one of the guys who live in the past, this december has got some specialty in my life, probably because this happens to be the final decemeber of my life in campus;infact I have had the final day of this year at my campus today. You would ask what is so particular about this month or this day as this is a part of life and should be taken as a normal course of the time. But as most of the nostalgic maniacs(I think this is the apt word) would do(Atleast you expect them too),I too take the pain to find a reason why this is such a special time for me.
Being the final month of an eventful year,it does has its significance for me and as all would,I too wanted to have a happy note ending for the final day of this year at my campus. As if it would be worth mentioning, the climate too was completely different otherwise none would have expected rain at this point of time.It was just another gloomy day to start with.It was just gloomy environment too at the campus with not more than two or three students there and here.I almost felt like watching a malayalam movie of 80s where the hero walks through the corridors of an empty campus.("Sarvakalashala" if I am right)As usual I had class with not more than 6 or 7 students(I dont hope to see all my classmates together in these final left out 100 days in the college)And for class being taken,we didnt have any (and we never wanted to have any).As the last few of my days were in the campus, this day too was fast finishing off eventless.I was howling around and irritating my friends(as I always do),but was gloomy within because ,even though I dont want to ,I had started to countdown the final days in my campus. Finally,at the end when I was to leave the college,I just looked back, had a whole look on the college(I dont think I ever did it in the past)and even when I was moving on my friend's bike, the very first day of my college life bangs back to my mind.Memories were pelted on my heart stronger and deeper than the raindrops that were pouring during the journey back to home. But again time never waited for me and I never wanted to go with time and I still live in the past,in the second bench of first year class with four years of dreams and aspirations."ROLL NO 33 . . . . Present ma'am".....................

Happy Days
I am at the twilight of my campus life and in such a case ,watching a movie which portraits the four years of college life would be really something touchy;this is the feel that I experience after having watched the telugu movie "Happy days".The story line is not as good as Classmates and the movie has some scenes thats really miles away from logic, but still there is something very touchy about the movie that makes me write this post. Its the sincerety with which the concept has been protrayed that really is the core of the movie. Its covered almost all aspects of college life and I dont think it has missed even a single instance of college life (there are scenes with students preparing for exams and 2-3 class room clips which you rarely see in most of the campus movies). The movie is entertaining from beginning to the end and would you believe, the theatre was packed with people (such an audience rarely turns on for a malayalam movie now a days). All those friendship fights and relationships, ragging and not so friendly attitude to seniors and finally all of them coming together really brings on a feeling of elation and infact warm memories of past three years of my college life.Being in the final year ,I really start to feel a bit emotional about my college. The count down has already begun and with less than 50 working days left,I feel so much intimacy towards each element of my college;that rusty canteen is no longer rusty;even that dry hot rocks has got a charm (or I feel it has some). Its been an eventful 3 and half long years for me in almost all aspects of life, but the intensity of dreams and aspirations that I had when I joined is almost the same even when I am at the verge of leaving my campus.Looking back at what I have gained in all these three years ,I really feel nice that I have got a bunch of friends,a bit of wisdom(I hope so) and a bit of academic knowledge. As everyone would feel,it really hurts when I have to confront the fact that my college days ,where one tends to be careless about life,no serious thoughts, where everything is fun and friendship matters the most and probably the final time when you actually behave as what you are, is going to end soon. Its been full of moments that I would cherish till my end and will miss it badly.Guys how ever worse your college is ,the whole environment may seem to be dead and damp, but enjoy every moment to the fullest because this is the only time when you can have a real blast and have wondeful memories.Dont give yourself a chance to sob later because one you miss it,its gone for ever, unfortunately life doesnt have replays.

Google Analytics
Every time google comes with new things ,nobody is left without being fascinated by it.This time they have come with something thats already there, but still it has hit the market with a bang.I am talking about Google analytics that has become a webmaster's dream. Its as simple as all other Google services are.Just sign up for free,if you have a gmail account ,then its all available at one click. You can register your site there and the traffic to your site is monitored by them and you are issued reports. The most important thing is it covers almost all aspects of the traffic to your site.If you are a webmaster who is looking for a healthy page rank, then you must be a part of google analytics. Also bloggers who wants their blog to be more public and atleast a bit commercialised,I recommend you to be a part of it.I have been a member of almost a month now and its really nice that you can track each and every bit happenings of traffic to your site. Its the first step to increase traffic to your site. This service also provides you with an opportunity to correct the errors thatis present in your sites and these might be the prime reason for your site being not displayed in the search results. To know more about it go to this link http://www.google.com/analytics/

Love,Lust and Life
The name sounds similar to a daily soap that had been a sensation for years in a television channel.I am speaking about what I have seen happening around me in my campus(Not confined to my campus).Falling in love is nothing so novel, but the frequency with which people fall in love really asks for redefiniton of love,I think its infactuation and not love. When one enters into the college, there are a lot of expectations that you expect apart from your academics, friendship is a sure part of that, but many, infact almost all expects to fall in relationships thats hard to be named(infact people still finds name). This is the age where you expect, to crop up between you and someone, a relationship ,almost unknowingly for the first time, from the second time it happens to be something "intentionally unknown",infact I have seen guys who take it as a challenge. When I say from second time, you wonder is it something of a customary to get involved in relationships one after the other. But a feeling of forgetfullness and professionalism has risen up in this "field" that you see new relationships mushrooming up more than there are break-ups,thanks to the urban culture, emotions are nothing more than show offs and as far as love infact true love is concerned, that has flown out of the windows a long time back.I still wonder why someone need a word "true love".I really would love to know what is 'LOVE' and 'TRUE LOVE'.I think its better to be defined as 'being in love' and 'not in love'.Todays friends are tomorrows lovers and vice-versa and the flexibility in such relationships to shape roles in both relationships has grown many folds.Again I have misused the word love for infactuation, infact its something below even that level.I would never say all love affairs that fill the air are crap, but most of them,I emphasise MOST OF THEM are for reasons that even they find it hard to find.Infact those are all excuses that is cooked up to cover up an idle (most of the time ,inertia to invlove in something worth doing) mind's creation that can never be termed wrong, but can it ever be morally true. Now morality is nothing more than mockery now a days, you dont even find that word in textbooks now a days.So this so called fun filled adventures spice up the years of college life(too much spicy is never good).Once you are out of the college gates to a world where you mean nothing and you are viewed only as a source of benefit for whom you are involved with(In professional and personal life, most of the times profit remains the lone purpose of relationship);Thats the time when you think about your 'adventures' in the college and term it just as a funny game. But again there are times when you try to find the purpose of having had such relationships and end up with not mere than anything other than excuses that you would find not so comfortable to satisfy your inner sense(even thats not much seen with people now a days)But then again you say whats life without having someone to hangout with it even if you dont have any feeling for him/her,you want to powder your character with lust so as to attract some 'special' people and moreover all junks of thoughts to carry with.Time and again ,many vommit off these thoughts and philosophies, still you see in the empty classrooms,at the corners of ice cream parlours,on the back seat of theatres ,people involved in the greatly proclaimed "love" and you(even at times,I am not an exception)sigh silently"mera number kab aayega".(comments are welcome with no personal attacks on anyone.).

Do's and Dont's in an interview-Strength and Weakness
Hi guys back again with another stuff that I feel is worth mentioning. In almost 90% of the interviews, you get the question "Mr X ,what do you feel are your strengths and weakness"( Out of the 6 interviews attended by me,I got this question four times).Usually you can see many cooked up diplomatic answers that most of the people follow and you can find it in most of the sites. When asked about strengths, the usual reply goes on as"I am very positive, hard working ,optimistic ,sincere to work bla bla bla".I can state this only as the ingredients that formulate your strength rather than them being strength. These are more like the vitamins and minerals that combine to form your nutrition. So when you reply ofcourse, state these points (its a must),but also add like "I am hardworking etc, because of this I have been able to complete my project before time"(citing example is a very good way of doing it.).Now coming to weakness, its the usual statement that they expect from you like"I am always busy with my work ,am more professional rather than emotional ;place my work above my personal things."All spoken out damp boring words, but I think that would be enough to get through(I f anything more please put it as a comment.).But Never say you are lazy (even if you are) or I am pessimistic or something. The most important thing never say that you dont have any weakness ,if you are so particular, you can say"I havent yet come across my weakness"(but preferrably avoid it,that can be a negative point also.Say it at your own risk).
Above all these ,the interviewer expects you to reply with utmost perfection the most important question "what are your achievements?".The reply would be "I got 99% in 10th; I qualified for national football team;I have been .....".Ofcourse these are achievements and you dont expect every person to achieve it,the problem I find is it lacks the punch that need to be there in your reply to make the interviewer satisfied, infact very happy. You get 100% for board exams ;you are happy and if your achievement ends there, then you happen to be a bit more selfish.Your achievement must be something that inspires or makes atleast a single person happy other than you.You can say "I got 100 % for the boards exam.My parents were proud of me .My friends were proud of me and infact I could see some inspired faces amongst my juniors.THIS IS MY ACHIEVEMENT".If this cant make an impression, then I dont feel much else can.So guys take my word ,your achievement must be a broader one rather than a self centered one.Remember guys, the company is looking for a TEAM PLAYER ,an inspiring guy, rather than a ONE MAN SHOW.

DO's and Dont's in an interview-LANGUAGE MATTERS-remedies
In the earlier post we have seen the problems of language proficiency, now lets talk about the remedies.I have heard many people say "the problem is we think in our regional dialect and then convert it into english,so that delay in speech comes out as stammering and makes the thing worse".I completely DISAGREE with this statement.I am not concerned about the conversion, but how can one ever think in a dialect or a language.Let me tell you can never think in english or any other language.Thoughts are those emotions in mind that happens to flow more like a painting than words. If you notice properly, you can see every memory or every answer comes to your mind as a picture and then you take it out to words(provided you have not mugged up something without understanding). So we think the way everyone does and you can never think in languages;its something like asking someone to draw a picture in english(if you can do that you can do this too). The interpretation of idea to words is similar to adding a description to your painting(none can do it better than you).So what you need to do is label your idea in english rather than "creating your idea in english".
How to implement this labelling technique. Its as simple as that.If you fear talking to people in public,do it in private with yourself.Say to yourself, speak to yourself.Believe me( because I have tried it and worked well) you can start talking to yourself, there would be moments when you talk to yourself when you put your thoughts on something, label your thoughts in english and this is the best possible start you can ever give to attain language proficiency.(Do it in front of a mirror, its just a funny and beautiful experience).
The another thing you must do is listen to english programs whatever it is ,even a cricket commentary will do ,also atleast once in a week go through an english article whether in news paper or magazine or anything in that regard.I can tell you this will get you well with your speaking fluency, it will increase your word power which well augment the quality of the words you use and of course the flow of words. This is similar to providing words for describing your image.
Once you implement these two techniques,I assure you,you are quite ready to talk in english with no much problems. Now regarding the fluency or flawless speech that you do find in VJs or other news spokesmen, you need to talk with others in english especially with your friends.Do create small sessions of mock GDs or discussions in your class rooms and that does help a lot.Infact these are the only ways by which you can improve.Sitting idle and thinking "oh this is not my cup of tea" really means its time for some nice thrashing. So guys kick start your preparations and your weakness would surely be your greatest asset.A better conveyed small idea is always better than an excellent idea not conveyed.

Do's and Dont's in an interview -LANGUAGE MATTERS-problems
Hello guys this is my second post on do's and dont's in an interview. This time I am here to talk about the power of expression-the power of language. Many a time ,even in my campus ,I have seen this inability or infact a sort of inertia among students in putting forth their ideas. The problem as they say happens to be the difficulty in presenting a langauge different from their mother tongue. Its quite understandable, especially in colleges you cannot expect everytime to speak in english and naturally the tendency of inhibition in speaking comes out. This flaw mainly comes out in GDs but becomes more noticable in interview.Ofcourse you need skills to get to a job and if you have skills and still cant get the job, then the flaw must be with you language. Now how to improve your language.Mostly one can see people joining for some spoken english courses, polish their language and get through, personally I believe you can do much better without this because we remember and practice those things efficiently that we learn ourselves.I never mean such courses are bad, but I would say such courses are unnecessary especially when you are doing a graduation course or a professional course.
First lets analyse the reasons of so called "faulty" language.
Here the educational background matter most of the times( there are cases where this hasnt been a hindrance in english proficiency).Students with schooling with a regional syllabus base do face a problem as the whole portions or atleast most of them happens to be in the regional language.so they are kept aloof from the english proficiency that you would normally expect from a student who follows a CBSE or english medium, but all of them neednt be betterof with speech skills.
Next is the deliberate inertia that students show in speaking in english. There are a lot of students who just disagrees to participate in mock gds or interviews because they have to speak in english. This is mainly because of the fear of humiliation that they feel they have to face if they speak out something grammatically incorrect or if their style of speech happens to be of "low class".What they fail to understand is most of them has all learned this way and nothing is learned without mistakes.
I think these are the main problems related to the deficiency in language proficiency(If you feel there are other problems please feel free to tell me).

Do's and Dont's in an interview -SAY NO TO SHYNESS
Mostly now a days you do see a lot of interview tips and stuff in many of the websites and all of them happens to be identical, I am not much interested in putting on those usual things ,but would like to draw your attention to what really matters in an interview.
Initially (Far before the interview; may be months back even before you know you will have to attend such interviews) try to be more interactive with people. This is very very important. If you are inert, its better you throw off that habit and get yourself more open ,else you are out of the game.We should always remember that its not as easy as we speak to put yourself properly at an interview when you have been inert for all through out your life. Its quite understandable that some people do have shy nature and they tend to keep themselves away from debates, speech competitions and also such activities where one has to be dare enough to stand in front of others and present something. But what one should know is too much inertness never fetches you a job.
Now talking about stripping of the shyness in you.As I have told, its not always so easy to strip off your shyness one morning and become social.First of all,you have to have a positive attitude.Try mingling with people especially friends, make your voice count among them. Also when you get chances to be more social especially like taking initiative in regards of various activities;in college or school,do show the spirits to meet the challenge rather than running away from it.Never hesitate to say yes whenever you get a chance yourself to present in front of a gathering.Mostly the fear of under performance leads one to saying a big no in this regard, but proper practice will lead you the right way.Now some would mention about the shivering that they feel when addressing a bunch of people, but let me tell you ,this feeling remains possibly for a minute or less and almost every person in the world experiences this feeling on the first stage.Let me tell you from my experience ,its that initial guts that you need to have to stand in front of others and then everything would be normal. So dont crawl around corridors of your institution and waste your time, put yourself into something thats worth playing a good part in your life.
So remember, the first tip for being successful in your interviews is STRIP OFF YOUR SHYNESS and BE DARING TO PRESENT YOUR IDEAS IN FRONT OF OTHERS.

Memories of Kodaikanal
It was really one of the most beautiful days of my life when me and my friends landed in Kodaikanal in a cold morning. We had a wonderful time there and almost all of us carried the cameras with us so as to tap the beauty of nature into our frames and place it in our hearts.Let me share some beautiful snaps with you taken during the trip.
The last one is the one I love the most.I could trap those sunrays in my camera.
What do you feel about the snaps ;do let me know.

Interview experience -The Satyam mission
The title would give you an idea about the company of which I wanted to be part of,it was Satyam Computers, one of the IT giants in India. This time it was more than just a recruitment test for me,but I had infact put many things on stake. It was never an easy decision for me since I would have to attend my lab exams the very next day after I come back after the test, also none of my classmates were making it for the drive.May be for the first time it seemed some sort of a real challenge for me and I was damn damn determined that I SHOULD DO IT THIS TIME.With the lessons from the past experience,I attended the test.Only 15 questions, but they were real nerve teaser with negative marks. To be frank ,I didnt care for negative marks and attended 11 questions.I even marked those answers which I was partially sure of.Somehow i cleared the test. Then it was the GD round.Till that moment I had only heard about GD and not even know how its to be attended, but I had to get through.Luckily I met a guy who was also attending the GD(he was already placed in Wipro). He gave me the tips and luckily for me,he was in the same group as mine. With his help,I got through the GD round and my interview was fixed for the next day. This was the real test of my character.I had to prove that I had learned from my mistakes.Believe me,that was the day for the first time in my life,I worked really hard.Till 1 am in the morning I kept going through my datastructure textbook. This time i didnt want to give myself a chance ,so was trying with every bit of myself to understand the concepts.I dont know when I slept, but I got up at 5 am.I was then thinking about what should I answer if I was asked about my strength and weakness.I just thought a lot about it and found the answer. Then the time just ran off.My interview schedule was supposed to be at 9am ,but finally it started around 1pm.I got into the room, the interviewer greeted with me a smile. He was just so cool and try to make me feel comfortable and I acted as if I really was.He asked me to introduce myself, then asked about my schooling and favourite subject. The most important point was when he asked me "how do you assess your strength and weakness".I started of normally in a standard format (I am confident smart etc etc). Then I told him "This interview itself is a test of my character .It was a tough decision for me to make to attend this interview with all odds and troubles. If I get through the interview ofcourse I would be applauded, but if I fail,I would be blamed for my irresponsible move to come and attend the test. But as far as I am concerned,I dont regret on my decision because I never want to sob on a missed out chance."I think he was really pleased with that reply and he said "that was a comprehensive reply well done".The interview was over and I shook hands with him and came out. After about an hour, the result came and I heard my name called out.It was a dream come true and feeling of elation that words can never express.Atleast I was happy for I made my dad proud,a mission accomplished and a big boost for my morale. It remains as one of the most cherished moments for me and will hopefully remain so.
My first interview experience.
My first interview experience is something I feel worth mentioning.Even though I couldnt get through the interview,I learned many things that got me right in the second time.My written test was on March 10th which I got through some how,but when it came to interview, the tension was taking its toll on me.It was my first interview infact I hadnt even attended a mock interview till that moment. So as expected the technical interview started with some simple questions and then the interviewer asked me,"which is the subject that you want me to ask questions on".I didnt know what to say and made the biggest stupidity ever I could dream of;I told him"Its up to you sir,you can decide".After that very moment,I was on the shooting range and the questions tore me off.I had a horrible twenty minutes after which I somehow managed to get away from there.Within five minutes the results came and as expected I was ousted. Then I learned one thing that,I had to focuss on a single subject and I should have drawn him to that subject rather than falling prey to his questions. With these things in mind,I started my preparations for the second placement test.I forgot to tell you;my first interview was for the post of software trainee in Siemens Information Systems. And remember failures are the stepping stones to success.
Mylot
I would like to introduce you people to the one of the coolest and most trusted sites ie MYLOT.Its a discussion site where you can talk to people on anything and everything.Earlier I was completely immersed in orkut all the time, but soon I found it to be boring and dragging as all the time I had nothing else to speak other than 'hi ,how are you'.This was when I was introduced to mylot by my friend and now most of the time I am in mylot. The most important thing is you never get bored with mylot as you have various topics to discuss on where you can present your views and comment on other's responses. Moreover it helps to enhance your language and also gives a new dimension to your perspectives and thoughts. Also let me tell you there is a payment offer in mylot that lets you earn a handsome amount through discussions and let me tell you,I have already earned my ten dollars and has got credited.Really its something where you can enjoy as well as earn.So do give it a try.TO KNOW MORE CLICK ON THE TITLE OF THIS POST.
Too many ads but not too much nonsense
When you look at my blog, you happen to see too many ads;I hope you are not disgusted with that. Its been some months since I have been in this vicious circle of online earning site.I call it vicious circle because I start browsing from one site crawl through it to many sites and finally reach the same site to find its not very easy to get the job done. You can find many such sites today ,but more than half of them happen to be spam and I have to admit I have been a victim of that. But there are some sites that really pays and out of which I have chosen some sites that are displaying their ads here.Ofcourse the earning becomes possible only when there is much traffic to the sites and inturn it requires me to put on many posts infact as many quality posts as possible. But usually what happens is in too much eagerness to make money, people just put on some rubbish as posts and the quality of the blog just degrades.Hope that doesnt happen to me and if at all the standard falls low,Please let me know so that I can maintain the minimum standars that one expects from this blog.

Solaris dilemma
I wonder how many of my collegemates have looked into the last row machines in the CENTRAL COMPUTING FACILITY LAB of the college and wondered what are these machines for.Yes I am talking about the 10-20 SUN Microsystem machines that lie in the lab.Its near about 2 years now and I dont think anyone has ever dared to operate it,to be frank I have to shamelessly admit, we dont know how to use it.But now its high time atleast we see the desktop and appearence of best operating system in the world, and a group of final year students which includes me has taken up the charge of crawling into the depths of solaris and coming out with something that would atleast be a beginning. Our group has been assigned the task of studying the basics, operate the system and take a session for the computer science department students regarding the basic operational overview of the solaris operating system. You must be wondering why am I still not mentioning the version of the solaris used.Sorry guys,I need to enquire about it (this gives an idea about my preparation).I am yet to start but I hope to get the TASK done asap.

Do no evil
Wondering what I mean; My mention is on the motto of google "Do no evil".I had recently infact yesterday completed digesting a book "The google story" ,the origin and growth of Google.I was just fascinated by the way Brin and Page had brought up their company.May be its the lone company I feel which exists with a view of selfless service to its users.I dream of a day when I would be a member of the Googleplex and would be meeting my modern era idols Sergey Brin and Larry Page. Its really a computer techie's dream to be working with google and not to mention the wonderful environment that Google provides. Its more like a home rather than an office. The work culture is the best and the most unique you can ever get and ofcourse of the food at "Charlie's place" is nothing less than that in heaven. But there is only one defect,I dont even have half the potential that Google expects from a noogler.Hope someday I can reach to the minimum standards that they would want from a fresher.Anyway thanks to the Stanford products for giving a niche for super techies GOOGLE.
